June 16, 2009 - Oneida Lake (6PM to 9PM)

The G.O.B. Juniors and the G.O.B. senior club boaters arrived at Oneida Shores County Park around 5PM for the final GOB Junior Club Tournament of the 2009 season.

Again, as in most tournament events this year, cold front's gusty winds, and temperature played a role in giving everyone a "difficult" bite.

The "Minnows Division" fishing from the docks, rocks and shoreline, again had troubles coaxing pan fish of any kind to bite.

They spent the majority of the evening changing lures and moving from one place to another in an effort to land a few "keepers".

The Juniors once again outshined the Junior Pro's in total inches as Jake Drabot led everyone with 3 legal bass totaling 47.40 inches.  Jake was followed by Junior Raymond Bentz boating 2 bass measuring 30.50 inches.  Nick Baxter, Guy Crump, Jr., Matt Mitchell and Bill Easterly tied for third place.

The Junior Pro's were led by Dustin Robinson with one bass measuring 17.50 inches.  Trevor Parker finished in 2nd place with one 14 inch bass   Mitchell Jones came in third with one bass measuring 13.25 inches.  Ryan Friscia and Coty Atkinson finished tied for fourth place.

This event culminated 6 club tournaments in which each junior selects the best four out of six tournament personal finishes.  The results will determine the top six club members and one alternate that will represent the GOB Juniors in the 2009 New York State Club Team Championship event on Saturday, July 18 on Onondaga Lake.

This was the LAST G.O.B. Club Tournament of 2009.
