November 25, 2008 Time: The meeting was opened at 7PM by Youth Director Jeff Edgarton. Youth Director’s Report: Jeff Edgarton reported that we will have no club meeting on December 23, 2008 because it is too close to Christmas. We will have a brief meeting prior to our banquet. The election for officer’s that was originally scheduled for December will be held at this meeting. Dues for 2009 must also be paid at this meeting. If you cannot attend this meeting/banquet, then please contact Vern or Dustin Robinson and send them your payment. Jeff also mentioned that everyone needs to complete their Medical forms for 2009. President’s Report: Kevin Hamon reported that the election scheduled for tonight has been postponed until the club banquet on January 18, 2009. The banquet will be similar to the one held last year. We will be having hamburgers, hotdogs, and each family will be asked to bring a plate to pass. Kevin said that he will email everyone. Kevin also mentioned that we will be collecting about $4.00 per family to assist in paying for the food. Secretary’s Report: No one reported on the October meeting because our Club Secretary, Matthew Mitchell arrived too late to report. Treasurer’s Report: Dustin Robinson did not report as the check book was currently in the review and update process. Tournament Director’s Report: Our Tournament Director, Ryan Friscia reported and it was voted on by the membership that every angler that participated in the tournament held at Corky's Pond would be worth 20 points. No legal bass were caught; therefore everyone who participated received 20 points. When legal bass are caught in any tournament, the points will be assigned based on results. Ryan also reported the G.O.B.' s Junior Club Tournament schedule as follows; Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Oneida Lake from 7AM until 12AM. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Onondaga Lake from 6PM to 9PM. Saturday, June 6, 2009 at Onondaga Lake from 7AM until 12AM. Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Oneida Lake from 6PM until 9PM.
BOATER SAFETY COURSE was discussed and everyone needing the course that are 10 years old and older must be certified early in 2009. Fund-Raising: We received $700.00 from Bass Pro for bagging for a full weekend and $200.00 from Mickey Fortunato for working the NYS Juniors concession stand during the Elite Series. Vern Robinson has a “Fund-Raising” board that will be shown at each meeting. This board will highlight which members are participating in community programs and contributing dollars. This board will show who is eligible to receive money towards their fishing entry fees for 2009. Please be sure YOU have supported the bottle & can drive!
