Date:  Tuesday evening, November 24, 2009.

Time:  The FINAL meeting for 2009 was opened at 7:15 PM by our clubs president Mitchell Jones.

President's Report: Mitchell Jones opened the meeting by passing out a printed agenda.  Mitchell asked Ryan Friscia to read the minutes of the October meeting.  The minutes were accepted by Dustin Robinson and seconded by Jake Drabot and accepted by the members.

Mitchell suggested that due to the poor membership turnout, that the 2010 ELECTION of officers take place at our Annual Banquet in January.

Officers wishing to hold their position are as follows.  Mitchell Jones will run for re-election as president, Ryan Friscia wishes to run for re-election as tournament director, and Dustin Robinson wishes to continue and run for re-election as treasurer.

Dustin Elsner has decided to accept the nomination and run for the position of vice president.  It was also speculated that junior member Nick Sokolowski would accept the nomination and run for the position of Club Secretary

Any further nominations must be sent in and accepted by club president Mitchell Jones PRIOR to the Club Banquet in January!  ALL nominations must be read prior to the ELECTIONS at the club banquet in January.  NO NOMINATIONS will be accepted at the Club Banquet!

Secretary’s Report:  Matthew Mitchell was not present at the meeting.

Treasurer’s Report:  Club Treasurer, Dustin Robinson reported on the banking transactions along with the club deposits.  He stated that after our deposits, our GOB Jr. Club treasury had a total of $935.85 in the bank.  The Treasurers report was accepted, seconded and passed as read.

Tournament Director’s Report:  Tournament Director, Ryan Friscia reported that the tentative schedule he proposed in the October meeting for 2010 was given to GOB Club Youth Director Jeff Edgarton who was not present at this meeting, therefore he could not reference or discuss the dates and or the possible bodies of water at this meeting.

Youth Director’s Report:  Jeff Edgarton was unavailable for this meeting.

Newest GOB Club Member:  GOB Sr. member, Jack Wilson was kind enough to bring in our newest junior member Christopher Crandall all the way from Jordan.  WELCOME ABOARD Chris!  From the sounds of our discussion, Chris is well into bass fishing and looking forward to competing this summer.

New York State Youth Director  Mickey Fortunato, attended tonight's club meeting and after spending 3 days recently at the National BASS conferences in Florida, stressed the importance that each club and it's membership must take, to insure that the National BASS and NYS Federation dues be paid in a timely manner.

These payments, if made by December, will insure that each junior is properly covered by the BASS Liability Insurance for one full year at each and every club function attended, beginning the first of that insured year.

GOB junior members, that were present at this meeting, had to finalize for Mr. Fortunato, which body of water the GOB juniors wanted to compete on, for the 2010 Club Team Championship (August 28, 2010) and the majority of our members selected Onondaga Lake as their choice.

The Junior World Qualifier will be held on July 31, 2010 at Onondaga Lake.

The Junior/Partners Tournament will be held on August 1, 2010 at Oneida Lake.

Mr. Fortunato also discussed that during the Florida BASS conferences, the Youth Directors across the country overwhelmingly voted down the BASS dues increase of $10.00, thus our yearly club dues could still be only $35.00.

However, the GOB junior members, that were present at this meeting also voted on and approved, that the club dues remain at $45.00 a year and that the extra $10.00 be held in the bank for each individual member towards fishing expenses.

NOTE:  The meeting schedule for 2010 is as follows;

We will hold full 1+ hour meetings in January, February, March and April at the Fire Station.  We will hold short briefings or updates either before or after tournaments during the months of May, June, July and August.  We will resume full meetings at the Fire Station in September, October and November (no meeting in December) to close out the year 2010.

Club Advisor, Vern Robinson confirmed the proposed date of Sunday, January 24, 2010 as the date of our annual club banquet at the Fire Station.  Time is again, 6PM.  ELECTIONS will be held during a brief meeting overview by our clubs Youth Director, Mr. Jeff Edgarton and our club's President, Mitchell Jones.  Mr. Robinson will work together with Mr. Bill Easterly and Dom Maio on the details of the menu and supporting dishes.

As a reminder, the club will not have a club meeting in the month of December, because once again, it's too close to Christmas.

Mitchell also mentioned that the agendas for each meeting will be emailed to members prior to the meetings so that they can come to the meetings prepared to discuss the issues.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made, seconded and accepted.

Meeting adjourned:  8:35PM.
