Youth Director’s Report:  Jeff Edgarton reported his displeasure with a few activities that occurred at our most recent tournaments and stressed that going forward, everyone needed to fully understand the B.A.S.S. & Club rules.  Dom Maio passed out a copy of the rules to all the members.  Mr. Edgarton stated that all the rules would be enforced in future tourneys and activities.

Jeff reminded everyone of the upcoming parade on the Saturday, July 11th (100 year anniversary) for the Fire Station.  We will be forming at 5PM.

Mr. Edgarton also reviewed the proposed tournament schedule for 2010 stating that we would have 2 boat tournaments, 2 row-boat tournaments and 2 shore-line tournaments to go along with the 3 NYS Tournaments.

He then proposed that we begin the 2010 season with 2 of the 9 tourney's to be scheduled at the end of this year beginning with a possible tournament on Saturday morning August 15, 2009 from 7AM until 12 noon and Saturday morning, September 12, 2009 from 7AM until 12 noon.  This schedule will be reviewed and voted on in the upcoming meetings.

Connell Raate, (our GOB senior club official), graciously attended the meeting and gave our junior club members a demonstration & some helpful tips on finesse fishing with a "Senko" plastic worm.  He elaborated on the rod presentation, the action of the lure and gave pointers on "hooking" the lure through a rubber-band or similar instrument, therefore giving the plastic lure a longer life.  Photos on this page were taken by Connell.  THANK YOU Connell!

Vern Robinson then proceeded to hand out "mountains" of soft lures, tackle bags, spinner-baits and fishing gear (all from his own personal stash) to each of the club members in attendance.  Christmas came early.  THANK YOU Vern!
