Junior Meeting

The meeting was called to order by President, Kevin Hamon at 7:05 p.m.

Treasurer, Dustin Robinson gave the treasurer’s report. As of August 20th, the balance is $473.50

Although the Tournament Director, Ryan Friscia was unable to attend, (school sports practice) his father was present to represent him. Ryan’s father stated that Ryan was unsure of his duties. Discussion was held with the club advisors, and his father stated that he would work with his son to get Ryan up to speed.

Advisor, Dominick Mayo reported that the cost of the fishing shirts is more then expected. The cost is coming in at $60.00 each instead of the expected $40.00. The advisors are working on getting some sponsor support to offset the additional cost, keeping the price down to the expected $40.00 for each junior.

Discussion was held on dates for more weekend fishing tournaments for the juniors and junior pros later this year. Tournament director, Ryan Friscia will come up with four dates to present to the senior club hopefully to have them agree to 2 more dates on the big boats.  The 2 dates not taken by the seniors will be row boat tournaments. Discussion was also held on having shore tournaments for only the minnows so that more time can be spent with them. Besides the advisors, the juniors and junior pro’s can assist the minnows in these tournaments without participating.

The meeting was then turned over to Guy Cromp who gave an interesting presentation of locating and marking structure without the use of electronic depth finders.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
