MOUNTAIN GOAT RUN

The Good Ole Boys Junior Bassmasters Club (GOBJBM) of Central Square was asked to participate as volunteers in the "training run" or warm-up phase as well as the Race Day activities for 2010 Mountain Goat Run.  With pride, our club accepted the offer! 

On Saturday, March 20th, a group of 5 GOBJBM members and 3 adults set-up and handled activities at the water/energy stop (Power Bar Energy Station) at the West Onondaga/Bellevue Ave intersection.

This warm-up phase will continue for 5 consecutive Saturdays as the runners tune up for Sunday's, May 2nd Race Day. 

Approximately, 600-700 runners set out at 8AM and enjoyed a wonderful sunny sky as they stretched their limbs while covering up to 5 1/2 miles of our Syracuse city streets.

It was great to greet the runners as they stopped just to say hello and thank you, and sometimes treated themselves to a short water or endurance energy drink.
