Meeting

Meeting opened at 7PM by Jr. Club President, Kevin Hamon and he introduced special guest Dave Ottman

Secretary’s Report: Matt Mitchell read the minutes of the September meeting.

Treasurer’s Report: Dustin Robinson reported that the Club has a balance of $505.00 in the bank and that Kevin Hamon remained in 1st place for our can/bottle drive and the drive will continue until called by the Youth Director, Mr. Edgarton.

Tournament Director’s Report: Ryan Friscia was not present and Kevin Hamon reported on his behalf that the Club will be holding a Shore Line Tournament at a private pond on County Route 17 on Saturday morning, November 10th from 8AM till noon.  This is primarily for the minnow’s but everyone can fish.  The juniors will rotate to help the minnows all morning long.  All attendees will meet in the parking lot of Mc Intosh Pallet on State Route 49 at 7:45AM. Catch & Release will be practiced.

Additional tournaments for the year will be resolved at the end of this outing.

Special Guest, Dave Ottman gave the members a great presentation on fishing Crankbaits with details on lines, rods, weather conditions, and the results he had using them.  Thanks Dave.

Dom Maio spoke on behalf of Youth Director, Mr. Edgarton who was ill and reported that the club should vote on dates for an upcoming Club banquet.  It was decided that we would have it sometime in January and to hold it at the Fire Station. Vern Robinson reported that the Fire Station has approved that we could hold the banquet on Sunday, January 20th, 2008 at 6PM.  Each member is asked to bring a dish to share.  Someone (Kevin Hamon) should be appointed to keep track of the dishes so that we do not repeat too many and have enough food for everyone.  Vern Robinson stated that he would be glad to put on an apron and grill burgers & dogs in the kitchen.

Dom Maio also asked the members to review the present club logo to see what can be done to update it with everyone’s approval for future use on tee-shirts, club brochure, web-site, etc.

Dom Maio also brought up the issue of Club Sponsors.  Matt & Dan Mitchell discussed sponsorship with an auto dealer and sent them a club letter.  This letter is available through Dom for anyone in the club to use in, order to reach the prospective sponsor.

Sponsor fees we discussed are:

Level 1: $100 annually – Company name in the Club Brochure.

Level 2: $200 annually – Company name in the Club Brochure and Club website.

Level 3: $300 annually – Company name in the Club Brochure, on the website and on the Club members fishing shirts.

Meeting was closed at 8:35PM
